Public Works supervisor position available
City hiring full-time sewer supervisor
Simpsonville, S.C. — The City of Simpsonville is accepting applications to fill a full-time position in the Public Works Department.
Public Works is filling the position of a sewer supervisor, who will manage the department's sewer division. Job responsibilities include assigning, reviewing and instructing employees on work, appraising employee performance, addressing employee problems, maintaining department and division standards and assisting in hiring employees.
A successful candidate must possess a high school diploma plus 2-3 years of job experience in a related field or an equivalent combination of education, training experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities plus a CDL Class A license with tanker endorsement.
Under general supervision, the sewer supervisor, who reports to the public works director, maintains sanitary sewers, uses cameras in sewer lines to diagnose issues and cleans and repairs sewer mains and sewer on rights-of-way.
