City Hall parking lot closed to public Saturday mornings
Simpsonville Farmers Market to be held in City Hall parking lot
(Immediate release: May 2, 2022)
Simpsonville, S.C. — The Simpsonville City Hall parking lot will close to the public on Saturday mornings in preparation for the Simpsonville Farmers Market.
From May 7 to Sept. 30, motorists will not have access to the City Hall parking lot from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturdays; the Farmers Market is held on Saturdays at 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
The location of the Farmers Market was moved to the City Hall parking lot off Hedge Street in anticipation of improvements over the summer to City Park, the usual home to the community favorite. Simpsonville city officials and Farmers Market organizers have worked closely to ensure the 2022 season of the Simpsonville Farmers Market is the best one yet.
Simpsonville Community Relations Specialist Justin Campbell said City Hall is proud to have the Farmers Market set up in its backyard.
"The Simpsonville Farmers Market is a valued organization in the City of Simpsonville," Campbell said. "What the Farmers Market does for both the local economy and the Simpsonville community is immeasurable, and we are very excited about the more than 40 vendors that the Market has to offer this year. I know I'll be there."
