MAYOR'S MESSAGE - HEAR FROM MAYOR SHEWMAKER
MAYOR'S WELCOME
Welcome to the City of Simpsonville, the place we proudly call, "Simply Home." Our community stands as a testament to the enduring values cherished by our long-time residents and the open embrace we extend to newcomers and visitors, all working together to propel our city forward.
Simpsonville's unique vitality sets it apart. Our downtown area is a vibrant hub featuring local restaurants, charming boutiques, a bustling food hall, mixed-use developments, captivating murals, and the initial stretch of the Simpsonville segment of the Swamp Rabbit Trail. The ongoing downtown enhancements, such as the creation of a festival street, traffic realignment, and the construction of a new municipal complex, paint an exciting picture of a downtown that goes well beyond "thriving."
Simpsonville truly takes the center stage in the Upstate region. World-renowned bands and artists grace the stage of the CCNB Amphitheatre at Heritage Park, while local and regional talent are featured in our Summer Music Series and Food Truck Rodeo. Just a couple of blocks from our downtown you'll discover the newly refurbished Simpsonville Arts Center, housed in a beloved building that once served as Simpsonville's elementary school. As a vibrant hub for arts and culture, the Arts Center promises affordable, high-quality entertainment, featuring live performances by local theater companies and frequent art shows.
As dedicated members of the Simpsonville community, the Simpsonville City Council and I are fully committed to providing the highest level of service to you and all our residents. Our foremost priority is ensuring public safety, a cornerstone of our city's success. The tireless efforts of our exceptional Simpsonville fire and police departments are a testament to their unwavering commitment to keeping our community safe. We also hold our Public Works Department to the highest standards in providing efficient sanitation services and maintaining our infrastructure. The Parks & Recreation Department ensures an array of recreational opportunities for residents of all ages, while City Hall remains dedicated to delivering top-notch customer service to everyone who walks through its doors.
The unparalleled blend of energy and small-town charm that defines Simpsonville's remarkable progress fills me with a profound sense of purpose, both as your mayor and as a resident. With immense pride in our community, I extend a warm welcome to you and invite you to experience the City of Simpsonville – Simply Home.
Mayor Paul
