Scenes from "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids"
More than 200 people attend Movies in the Park premiere
Simpsonville, S.C. — More than 200 people attended the premiere of the 2021 season of "Movies in the Park" with a free screening of "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids."
Recyclops sponsored the event, while the Public Works Department gave away freebies as a way of introducing itself to the community ahead of taking back sanitation services in-house in September. See below for photos from the "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids" screening!
The next free screening in the "Movies in the Park" series is "Jungle Book" (2016) on July 13 at the CCNB Amphitheatre at Heritage Park. Gates open at 7:30 p.m., and the movie starts at sundown.
Chairs, blankets, outside food and beverages and coolers are permitted; alcohol is prohibited. Visit the "Movies in the Park - Jungle Book" Facebook event page for details and updates.
