Simpsonville, S.C. — While the Simpsonville Summer Music Series & Food Truck Rodeo presented by Countybank was postponed in May in accordance with guidelines issued by the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention, all concert dates have been rescheduled, and the music series remains on the calendar for residents and visitors to enjoy.
Starting in July, the City of Simpsonville and Simpsonville Arts Foundation, Inc. will host a free live concert with food trucks in Hendricks Pavilion at City Park every Thursday at 6 - 9 p.m. The series runs through September.
Community Relations Specialist Justin Campbell said the 2019 season was a big success, and the City and SAFI are excited for 2020.
"Postponing the music series was a difficult decision but the right decision for protecting public health and safety," Campbell said. "The bands and food trucks all came through by committing to a brand new schedule so that we could continue offering Simpsonville residents and visitors the chance to experience great live music and delicious food. We are excited about this year's lineup and cannot wait for July."
The City will promote social distancing measures at the concerts as prescribed by the CDC, White House and Gov. Henry McMaster, including keeping 6 feet away from others who are not in your immediate family and wearing face coverings if feasible.
