Fireman receives academic achievement award

Simpsonville firefighter earns highest GPA

 

Simpsonville, S.C. — Simpsonville firefighter Johann Sulser received on Friday the Award for Academic Excellence from the Spartanburg County Rookie Firefighter School.

 

Simpsonville firefighter Johann Sulser and his wife Katrina attended the S.C. Fire Academy Rookie Firefighter School graduation on Friday. Sulser received the Award for Academic Excellence for earning the highest grade point average in his class | City of Simpsonville

 

Sulser, who graduated from S.C. Fire Academy Rookie Firefighter School, received the award for earning the highest grade point average of his class. Chief Wesley Williams said the Simpsonville Fire Department is proud of Sulser's achievement.

"The Simpsonville Fire Department employs the best of the best to keep our residents and businesses safe, and Johann is an excellent example," Williams said. "All of our firefighters strive for the knowledge and skills needed to perform at their best, and we're proud of Johann for representing the City."
