Simpsonville fireman earns performance award
Schongar exemplifies 'true definition' of paramedic
Simpsonville, S.C. — Fireman Christopher Schongar has received the Edward R. Sorrells Award from the Greenville Technical College Paramedic program.
An engineer at the Simpsonville Fire Department, Schongar also earned the highest Field Experience Performance grade. The Edwin R. Sorrells Award is presented to students who are recognized by their classmates as possessing the attributes of professionalism, devotion, compassion and bravery.
Schongar exemplifies the true definition of a paramedic. The highest Field Experience Performance grade is given to the student who achieved the highest grade-point average during clinicals and capstone.
The City of Simpsonville and Fire Department are extremely proud of Mr. Schongar and his accomplishments.
