Council will hold a Committee of the Whole meeting on July 23rd at 6:30 p.m. via an online streaming service
Public Meetings
- City Council will hold a Committee of the Whole meeting on June 23rd at 6:30 p.m. via an online meeting service to help prevent the spread of COVID-19
- An emergency ordinance adopted by Council in May allows for Council to temporarily meet electronically and disallow the public from attending meetings
- Meetings are being temporarily live streamed via the City of Simpsonville YouTube Channel for viewing by the public
- Those wishing to participate in the Citizens Comments portion of meetings may leave a voice message on Mayor Paul Shewmaker's office phone at 864-967-5400. Please adhere to the following guidelines:
- Only callers who reside or own a business inside the city limits of Simpsonville qualify for Citizen Comments
- Callers must state their name and address at the beginning of the message
- Messages can be no longer than 3 minutes
- Messages with profanity will not be played
- All qualifying messages will be played over live stream

- The public is encouraged to reach out directly to Simpsonville City Council members, including Mayor Paul Shewmaker, to voice their concerns at any time but especially during the global pandemic when public access to meetings is limited
