City accepting applications for food truck rodeo
Additional food trucks needed for music series | Apply at Food Truck Application '21
Simpsonville, S.C. — An expectation for greater turnouts this year at the Simpsonville Summer Music Series & Food Truck Rodeo has led the City of Simpsonville to seek out additional food trucks.
Owners of food trucks who want to participate in the Food Truck Rodeo can complete the form Food Truck Application '21. Although at least two food trucks have been secured for all 12 concert dates, City officials expect higher attendance and therefore a higher demand for simply delicious food.
Simpsonville Community Relations Specialist Justin Campbell said thousands of people attended the Music Series last year when the pandemic was already raging.
"With the numbers that we saw in 2020 during a lockdown, I would not be surprised if a few concerts this year fielded upwards of 2,000 people," Campbell said. "The venue CCNB Amphitheatre at Heritage Park can accommodate a few thousand people with social distancing, and if that many people show up, we're going to need more than two food trucks."

To help prevent the spread of COVID-19, Parks & Rec staff will draw more than 100 circles 6 feet in diameter and apart on the Amphitheatre law to designate where groups can sit to promote social distancing. The public is encouraged—but not required—to wear masks and follow guidelines set by the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention.
