ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT/RECEPTIONIST
Under general supervision, performs a variety of clerical and record keeping duties for the Administration Department, exercising judgement in applying established office practices and procedures. Handles all invoicing and accounts payables. Takes and produces minutes of meetings for the Chief of Police. Handles heavy flow of customer service. Performs various administrative duties for the Chief and other department staff in a timely, accurate and professional manner. Maintains various office equipment for the entire department to ensure productivity. Is professional and diplomatic when assisting citizens that need the assistance of the Police Department. Is capable to work independently with little to no supervision. Is required to maintain confidentiality pertaining to criminal incidents, juvenile criminal activity, personnel records and the privacy of citizens. This position reports to the Chief of Police.
Requires a High School Diploma or GED equivalent, supplemented by a minimum of one year of experience in a job-related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
